I am 46. Developer and Data engineer with a bit of experience and I am gearing up to become a DevOps engineer.
Greatest blessing? I have very limited time to practice and study because I have 4 kids at home. That actually makes me be effective. No time to waste.
Don’t let anyone say you can’t become something.
Will my age be an issue? Possibly.
Luckily for me, most people think I still look in my early 30s. Lol

Without upgrade ram & Storage while prices Skyrockting .

Great work and you do not disappoint, Jake. You mentioned using Agent to design Terraform, explain to you in detail and also have AI assisted labs. I am curious what Agent do you use and prefer? Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot or something else is better for this purpose? Would you please share a sample prompt you use to come up with an AI assisted lab either here or on your website/GitHub? Jake, do you think there’s a big difference between a Solutions Architect and a DevOps engineer? Because I’ve seen both job posts and ppl working as a solutions architect and they focus more on learning Kubernetes and Code at a intermediate level and focus more on architecture certs and IaC, what do you think? I’m still preparing for this role but I don’t know if I should focus my career on code (I already have certs and projects about IaC but I don’t know if that would fall into the category of code), thanks!!
