I'm not big on automation, but I like the idea of driverless trucks. That's if they are 100x safer. Like, don't fall asleep at the wheel or speed or have road rage. No rest needed

I have a race track close to me. Recently I saw a new looking semi on the track. As it rolled by, I noticed there was NO driver. I waited and saw it go around a few times. I think it was a Tesla, but there was no marking. This tech is real and starting. Hey truckers, you all voted for the convict, you earned this. An automated truck won’t complained about fuel costs while they vote for the higher prices.

What truckers got from Project 2025: Looser environmental standards for trucks and less regulation for fuel economy (which ironically means fuel milage will decrease). What they lost from Project 2025.. Their jobs, because the future trucks that gets poorer milage won't have a driver.

All of Russia’s projected exported diesel equals approximately 1/2 day of US consumption. Oil supply shortages will impact social behavior through supply chain disruption and inflation. Yes, it is not only hilarious, but ironic. They cheered for taxcuts to Corporations and wealthy investors. They used the money to eliminate the costly part. Very soon there going to be convoys/platoons of trucks. Two drivers for 10 trucks. Once they build a network of stations. They can switch to electric switch batteries every few hundred miles. Diesel Trucks can't compete. They voted themselves out of a job..
The SUCKERS bought into the Drill baby drill BS. Rather than check what the Chinese were doing. They are getting what they were voted for.

There was nothing we could do. These truckers did not realize that trump was was ruining them on the first term. He dropped regulations and closed tax breaks that allowed them to use food expenditures as deductibles and that's the only stuff I saw in the news at the time.There's no way they would get a clue now before it was way too late.

How does a computer know when there's an issue with the safe operation of the vehicle? How does a computer conduct a safety inspection? Recognize a flat tire rolling down the highway? Know if the load has shifted or become unsecured?
