Can someone help me, I’m about to start my masters in applied statistics and data science. Im a stats nerd but I know very little about actual programming, the course didn’t have any requirements so I assumed it wouldn’t have been too heavy, does anyone know whether the programming on these kinds of courses are brutal or very obtainable?

Very good one,what are data science process life cycle?
@sqlchannel · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
Great post! SQL is sometimes overlooked when people start learning Data Science, but being able to retrieve, filter, aggregate, and join data is still an extremely useful skill. Thanks!

Hey! I'm moving into my 2nd year of a food industry License, aiming for food engineering next, but I really want to do a Master's in Data Science after. My goal is to work in Data Science applied specifically to the food industry/FoodTech. Do you think this is a good, high-demand combination to pursue, or is it too niche?
@dataastatlabs · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
Nice explanation

Hey! I’m looking for some advice. I got into Data Science at University of the Philippines aka UP [one of the most prestigious universities in the Philippines (super hyped!)], but I actually got waitlisted for my dream course, Applied Mathematics. Given the current landscape, which do you think is more practical or 'better' in the long run?
@wqedsasdaweq · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
You explained this so well, thank you!

As a biotech graduate, is it a good idea to explore data science for the masters?
@a_guy_that_games · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
Super helpful overview! Data mining & machine learning – definitely something I need to dive deeper into. Thanks for the links! 👍
@Sassy33333 · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
Hey! This video was so informative that I began writing notes! Also, I do have a couple of questions. What does it mean to ask the right questions before collecting data, and is there an example of that? How do you clean and prepare data that have some issues like the types of issues you mentioned?
Edit: Another question: is this process fast-paced, or does it take time?
@RAHUL-hq8hm · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
This is best one ❤
@AmanaKhan-w7t · October 6, 2026 at 3:56 pm
