Finally cancelled my Fitness First Subscription

I’ve been wanting to cancel my Fitness first membership for a while now but I didn’t have a replacement activity ready yet so I wasn’t able to. Well next week I’m starting my foundations classes for Crossfit. I already did my trial a couple of weeks ago and it was an awesome experience. Be sure to read my crossfit trial post if you’re interested in trying it out. Here’s a link to the post: What is CrossFit? – My first trial experience.

The one thing that I really hate about cancelling my Fitness First membership is that you need to give them one month notice otherwise you’re not gonna be able to cancel your membership on the day you want to. So they actually get to bill you for one month more before they let you go. Sounds really scammy I know but it’s all legit and it’s all on the contract you sign when you join them. I think this is their way of milking their members before they go on to greener pastures lol. Anyway, so my membership officially ends on December 1, not next month because of the one month thing.

I figured I might as well make the most of my last month at Fitness First. The foundations classes for crossfit is one month long anyway so I can continue to train the WODs I learn at FF so that I wont be too much of a disappointment once I start doing the regular crossfit classes lol.

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say. If you haven’t read my Fitness First post yet be sure to check that one out here: Fitness First Philippines – make sure you read this before you join.

Oh and I’m heading up to Mt Pulag again this weekend :). Really excited about that. I’ll be writing a post about climbing prep and gear probably tomorrow so watch out for that one.

but i think im very satisfied with the service the ff is trying to give. the one month advance notice that a member should give is fair i believe.
