Blog Update: The blog is getting bigger and better :)

Just spent the past two days fixing my blog. It’s gotten bigger and I’ve finally breached the 1000 daily views mark, Yaaaaayyyy!!!!

So in celebration of the event, I thought I’d take the time to write a post about what’s happening on the back end of this blog for those who are interested in reading about the growth of The Fit Pinoy (loser lang talaga ako, kaya walang actual celebration hehe).

New problems

With the recent growth of my blog, it has started bugging out from time to time. Some memory allocation problem that I had to Google to understand lol. So I’ve been tweaking some things here and there, and I’ve started to use CloudFlare (the free account).  I’m expecting good things from it and so far, my site seems to be loading faster.

Finally getting noticed 🙂

I’ve also started receiving promotion offers (some of them paid) from a couple of groups and media companies which is awesome. I haven’t really accepted any of them yet (well there is one that I liked, but I’m still waiting for a reply, just received the offer today). Looking forward to doing something exciting with one or a couple of these.

I am thinking of accepting some of the paid promotional opportunities as well but I will most likely be limiting them to the best and most relevant ones to my blog. I want to make sure that I keep the quality of my content really high so that it continues to grow.

Using the Glow theme now

hmmm what else…. oh, I changed my blog theme :). There were some technical stuff that I didn’t like with my old blog theme, like it not being mobile friendly, so to future proof my blog I decided to pay for a more professional one. The old one was a free theme.

What do you think of the new layout?

The work (is it really work?) continues

I still have to work on my social media though. As of the writing of this post, I’ve only got 15 FB likes. Loser lang talaga, nobody likes me :(.

So the next couple of months I’ll be growing my social media follower base. I’m thinking of doing some giveaways or a raffle to boost my FB and twitter presence. I think on top of continuing to write quality posts, that’s what I need to take my blog to the next level.

I’m also hoping to write a couple more guest post on some of the more prominent local blogs. I haven’t really done any guest posts in 2 months so I need to get to work.

Hope you all continue to read my stuff and if you’ve got any suggestions on how I can make this blog better, drop me a comment or send me a message through the contact me page and button (on your right).

Cheers :).

I actually read your blog. ^_^
I know what its like to struggle with the whole social media thing. Persistence and determination (and lots of GOOGLING). Im not really techie or anything like that so I know SQUAT about SEOs. But don’t worry you’re getting there! Specially now that facebook has HASHTAGS!

    Keep up the good work!

ughh the hashtag thing is something i don’t really use lol. I need to get into that. Never was a tweeter so when FB incorporated the hashtag, I didn’t benefit much lol. I also need to really get back to blogging. Studies have been taking up all my time recently.

Thanks for the comment Lara 🙂
